Draft for attorney review
Draft Owner Agreement
Rules for hosts/property owners listing accommodations on TrustStay.
Not final legal terms
This document is a planning draft. It should be reviewed, revised, and approved by qualified counsel before TrustStay uses it as public legal policy.
Purpose
Define owner obligations before listings can accept guests.
Attorney focus
Photo and turnover obligations
Payouts and disputes
Owner payout may be delayed, withheld, reversed, or reduced during payment processing, refund review, chargebacks, fraud review, policy violations, or unresolved disputes. Final wording should match Stripe Connect and the platform’s actual payment flow.
Owner conduct
Local compliance
Owners are responsible for confirming that hosting is allowed under local law, lease rules, HOA rules, building rules, zoning, short-term rental rules, taxes, occupancy limits, and insurance requirements. TrustStay may collect owner acknowledgements, permit status, permit numbers, tax registration notes, and compliance notes for admin review. Counsel should confirm final local-compliance language and whether TrustStay must collect/remit taxes in any property location.
Review note
After counsel finalizes this document, update the matching public TrustStay policy page and keep this legal-review draft archived for launch records.
