Draft for attorney review

Draft Guest Rules

Guest behavior, truthful evidence, property respect, support use, and account moderation.

Not final legal terms

This document is a planning draft. It should be reviewed, revised, and approved by qualified counsel before TrustStay uses it as public legal policy.

Purpose

Protect owners and the platform while keeping guests safe.

Attorney focus

Confirm property damage, fraud, chargeback, and evidence abuse language.
Confirm guest removal/suspension rights and appeal process.
Confirm fair treatment and anti-harassment/discrimination rules.

Guest responsibilities

Guests must provide accurate account, contact, and booking information.
Guests must respect the property, house rules, neighbors, owners, and support staff.
Guests must not damage property, create unsafe conditions, harass others, threaten others, or use the platform for fraud.

Arrival evidence

If a guest reports that a stay does not match the listing or owner photos, the guest should submit timely arrival photos and a clear written explanation. Photos should be current, truthful, and relevant to the issue.

Refund review abuse

Guests may not submit fake, altered, unrelated, old, or misleading evidence.
Repeated unsupported refund claims may trigger account review.
False claims, payment abuse, or chargeback abuse may result in suspension or ban.

Guest history and owner reviews

TrustStay may allow owners to submit verified post-stay guest reviews and may show privacy-safe guest trust signals to future owners. Internal admin risk notes, private support tickets, and detailed dispute records should remain internal unless final policy says otherwise. Counsel should confirm what guest history can be shown to owners and how guests can dispute inaccurate reviews.

Safety

If there is immediate danger, guests should leave if safe to do so and contact local emergency services first. TrustStay support is not emergency dispatch.

Review note

After counsel finalizes this document, update the matching public TrustStay policy page and keep this legal-review draft archived for launch records.
